This wine is made with fruits grown in our 8ha single Awatere vineyard. High density planted, yields controlled cropped. Processed in our onsite gravity fed winery. Cool fermentation mainly in stainless steel tanks, with 15 % French oak barrel fermented. The wine stays for 9 months on its fine lees to enhance the palate weight as well as the aging potential. Complex, intense, fruity, mineral and lees characters. Very good balance of fruity acidity. Weighty, textural, round, long dry crisp finish. A genuine gastronomy and age worthy wine.
