Terra Sancta’s pinnacle of Pinot Noir, from the first block planted in Bannockburn, Central Otago. One of Terra Sancta’s three single block Pinot Noirs, Slapjack Block is located in the heart of the Terra Sancta Estate. On gentle sloping clay soils, old vines on their own roots produce fruit of outstanding character and complexity. Minimal winemaking using wild fermentation is designed for maximum expression of site and vintage.

2021 Global Fine Wine Challenge

89 | Restrained slightly stemmy bouquet. Fresh and crisp, very tart and slightly astringent. Very tightly wound even after 3 years.

84 | Bubbles in wine. MLF Fermentation in bottle? Red currant and rhubarb aromas. Soft tannins, buttery Malo characters, low acidity with rhubarb, sour red fruits on finish.

87 | Light and flinty with red fruits, lacy textures and fresh acidity. Simple in this company.

85 | Good pilosity on the nose. Lacks weight and intensity on the palate.
