Dense bright black cherry colour. Brooding aromas of black pepper, sandalwood, purple flowers and generous black fruits complete an almost addictive aroma. The palate is complimentary, full of brooding blueberry, dark cherry suite of fruit alongside distinctive wood spices, black pepper with a hint of fresh char alongside the distinctive energetic tone of iodine and mineral that is so distinctive to fine Gimblett Gravels Syrah. Cellaring potential 20 years.

93 | Opens with cracked black pepper, hints of charcuterie and blackberries. Juicy and vibrant with fresh acidity and chalky tannins. Lacking a touch in fruit generousity

86 | Black cherry and spicy oak aromas. palate has fresh acidity and some firm tannins. Tart cherry on the finish.

92 | Inky peppery, dark fruited wine. Glossy palate with bouffant dark berry brambly flavours, fresh grippy touch sappy tannins and long fresh acidity.

98 | Intense black pepper spice. A deliciously savoury palate. Fabulous fruit density plus a graphite-like core.
