Lovely aromas of ripe red fruits, cassis, red flowers, spice and a hint of tobacco and blackcurrant leaf. The palate is medium weight with fresh raspberry, plum and sweet herb flavours balanced by a lovely seam of vanilla and cedar from both fruit and oak maturation. Long and graceful.

2023 Global Fine Wine Challenge

89 | Good colour. Raspberry mulberry blueberry aromas, palate sinewy and lean, stringy tannins, No faults, just a little tense and firm.

91 | Big bold colour. Slightly musty, old books aroma. Rich opulent aroma. Broad and generous. Maybe has lost a little varietal character in pursuit of ripeness? But appealing, bright acid finish.

90 | nicely made wine clean classic fresh vibrant, technically well made and sturdy, nicely done.

95 | Lighter framed with attractive cranberry fruit and leafy greens. Cleansing. The acidity is bright and in balance with the medium weight fruit. Good length. I love the refreshing nature of the herbal flecks.
