Considered a late-ripening varietal, Grenache loves a warm, dry climate and rocky soils… El Dorado County is a perfect fit! Our Estate vineyards (Stoney Creek in Fair Play and Green Valley in Rescue) each bring something unique to the table—Stoney Creek brings sultry elegance and Green Valley brings the upright structure—and while small percentages of each of these sites makes the cut for our El Dorado Grenache, we hold back the lion’s share for this “Grand Cru” style offering.

78 | Savoury. Looks a little developed. Tough tannin. Brown hues.

97 | Evolved garnet hue. Intensely perfumed red roses, cherry and ripe strawberry bouquet. Supple and silky with excellent intensity and succulent acidity. Finishes long and persistent with floral complexity.

94 | Floral, raspberry, mandarin, apricot and herbal nuances with light spicy oak. Soft tannin, confectionary raspberry and cherry. Vanilla and spicy oak.

91 | Fragrant herb raspberry chinotto - showing some development.. Hint of eucalyptus. Supple and sweet with aniseed liquorice notes. Finishes chalky
