This is a beautiful example of cold-climate Syrah and perfectly showcases our refrigerated-sunlight and oceanic climate that are hallmarks of the Sta. Rita Hills in Santa Barbara County. Aromas of briary and bramble blackberry fruit mixed with purple flowers and Mediterranean spice notes of white pepper, anise, black olives and thyme. Intriguing, wild and savage on both the nose and palate. Very structured, concentrated and backed with great acidity which bodes well for long aging and great drinking for the next 15+ years.
