Each block and clone were kept separate and fermented with different percentages of whole cluster depending on what the stems looked and tasted like for each batch. Pressed after about 3 weeks on skins and kept separate in neutral barrels. Ambient ferment, wild malolactic fermentation, unfined and unfiltered.

2021 Global Fine Wine Challenge

86 | Dried field herbs, hay and red cherry on the nose. Silky and fresh but slightly dried out and flattened by the oak. Finish is very astringent.

93 | Impressive palate generosity. Pleasing dark fruits. Appropriate tannin.

85 | Lifted Red berry fruits, light perfume aromas. Sour VA acidity, grippy and extracted tannins. Fruit falls away.

95 | Attractive strawberry vanilla, herb aromas with toasty notes. Expressive strawberry earthy, fruit sweet wines with slinky al dente textures and integrated acidity. Charming and idiosyncratic.
