Glenelly Estate Reserve is the signature red blend of the Estate and is based on the classic claret blend from the 1700’s. Rich, powerful aromatics of fresh blackberries and blackcurrant initially present themselves with spicy plum and cedar continuing to lead you into the wine. The palate entry is bold and rich with fine tannin supported by the ripe fresh fruit and hints of spice.

97 | Good colour for age; dusty cabernet aromas, stylish nose and palate, very elegant and smooth textured, cabernet driven, with fine grained tannins and plenty of them. Long and satisfying.

86 | A slightly weird aroma detracts. Sausagemeat. dark fruits, brambly tannins. Just starting to fade perhaps?

92 | Lovely intensity, flow and harmony. Bold and full bodied.
