This wine displays a deep maroon colour with a vibrant edge. The nose leads with classic graphite notes briary fruits interwoven with aromas of five spice and the faintest5 hint of dried porchini. There is a freshness underscoring these aromas with hints of dark cherry, red currant and fynbos scrub – a classic expression, of Simonsberg Cabernet. The palate is pleasantly full bodied with flavours mirroring aromas all leading to a multitextured finish. b

92 | A quiet nose. Good mid palate succulence. The wine is supported by a complex web of tannin.

99 | Subtle bouquet blackcurrant, lovely leafy, black olive notes, fine al dente tannins. Great poise and elegance.

90 | Ripe dark cherry, blackberry and plum fruits with subtle integrated oak. Plate is soft rounded and generous.

95 | Blackcurrant, black cherry, mocha aromas. Rich and voluminous with love dark berry dark chocolate fruits, supple textures. Builds up firm at the finish. Very well balanced wine with hints of graphite/ pumice
