One of South Africa’s most awarded Cabernets. This wine is based on our “Block 5” of Cabernet Sauvignon, the oldest block on the farm. It has a very finely textured decomposed granite soil with a fairly high percentage of clay. This wine is characterised by its fine tannin structure and its unique floral notes.

2021 Global Fine Wine Challenge

91 | H2S on the nose. The palate is dense and a little flat.

96 | Blackcurrant and vanillin on the nose. Bright, juicy and fruit pure, lovely bright cassis fruit, well-integrated cedary oak and an impressive undertow of fine-grained polished tannins.

97 | A fragrant wine with cassis, black currant and cedar. Palate has fresh acidity, resolving tannins and concentrated dark berry fruits. Very nice wine.

96 | Cassis cedar aromas. Well concentrated wine with pure blackcurnat fruits, cedar, vanilla notes, fine persistent graphite tannins. Finishes firm with an inky plume.
