Dense, almost opaque, garnet red colour. This wine is complex, hedonistic, and reminiscent of its Spanish influence. On the nose, warm stones, black orchard fruit, cassis, cocoa, tobacco, chocolate and cedar are apparent. The palate is rich, dense and generous without being sweet or overt, with the flavours reflecting the nose. The well integrated tannins offer a fine gravelly texture.

89 | Dense opaque colour; oaky, essence of blackberries, superripe, borderline dead fruit aromas; palate is dense and concentrated with some tannin chew. Plush wine. Massive.

88 | Blackberry, bramble. Liquorice. Plenty of baked fruit. Smoky oak. Dusting of tannin. Just a slightly spangly finish gives an impression of toughness.

86 | herbal pyrazines, dusty dark fruit tones, turned earth, an odd mid-palate, flat finish. leaves me wanting more freshness from the wine...

87 | Deep, dark red hue. Black fruits. Bitter cherry, almond and mulberry aromas. A touch of aldehyde.
