2019 vintage yielded beautiful fruit from each of our sites, which we have simply guided gently through to the bottle with minimal handling. Our “hands-off” approach delivers a pure expression of Central Otago to your glass; an expressive nose and deeply fruited palate displaying vibrant notes of red and black cherry, rich mocha and supple, silky tannins leading into a very long finish. As always this wine shows classic Rockburn elegance, integrity and balance (100% Pinot Noir. Clones 10/5, 5, 6, Abel, 115, 777)

2021 Global Fine Wine Challenge

96 | Fragrant dark cherry aromas with violet accents. Silky and supple opening up to reveal a depth of black cherry underpinned by fine tannins. Excellent length.

99 | A sophisticated aroma with every element in the right place. Fine red fruits, just the right amount of herb. The palate is supple and bright with good weight and ripe framing tannins.

97 | Attractive perfume, strawberry, forest floor and light spicy oak. Fine tannins, well balanced acidity and oak. finishing with beautiful savoury mushrooms , Jamon, lingering cherries and strawberries.

95 | strawberry, chinotto notes, Lovely richness, volume, fine lacy textures, mid-palate viscosity and refreshing mineral notes at the finish.
