This restrained, delicate treatment resulted in a great example of the new elegant style of South African Syrah. It is spicy and rich with textured layers and ripe, but fresh berry fruit. On the nose, there are inviting black fruits with aromatic notes of white pepper and coriander. On the palate soft, velvety tannins combine with lingering dark plum fruit and great structure for a memorable taste encounter.

2023 Global Fine Wine Challenge

89 | Roast meaty, earthy, drying aroma, brown spices. Not huge but balanced and MFB. Herbal touches. Tannins are rasping and drying.

91 | savory meaty complex layered fresh and dusty florals spicy and rotundone notes hints of coffee bean and fresh spicy finish, smartly made. nicely done

93 | Showing some development. Roasted red and black fruits. Sweet cedar oak. Little hint of reduction. Appealing slippery, silky palate. Not the boldest but attractive.

95 | Ripe red fruit. A little sweet oak. Cleansing palate. Quite simple but I really like the purity and brightness.
