Cuvée No.1 was the first wine produced by No.1 Family Estate. This Blanc de Blancs was held on lees to encourage full yeast autolysis. The wine displays texture, finesse and charm. Typical, complex, Champagne-like characters with savoury layers of citrus and stone fruits.

2023 Global Fine Wine Challenge

89 | Creamy eggy chard-ish, custard. Lean and tense, front of palate. Fades at the back. Grippy.

94 | Very bright, fruit-focussed aroma. Just-ripe stone-fruit, slight floral edge. Crisp, mouthwatering acidity. Not particularly complex but has a lovely brightness to the palate. Succulent mouthwatering acid spine.

89 | hints of bruised apple skin, pithy, nice texture and spice, but it feels overworked

94 | A bold sweet-fruited style with subtle savoury accents. The mid-palate is generous and full flavoured, in the ripe red apple spectrum. Sweet-fruited on the close. Very well made.
