The components of this Bordeaux Style Blend must have a special Affinity for each other – otherwise the wine is not made. We skipped the 2018 and 2019 vintage for this reason. The varietal percentages also vary according to the vintage with Cabernet always dominant. 

The components were separately vinified and matured. Barrel selection for the blend occurred after 18 months of maturation of the individual components in 10% new French oak.

2023 Global Fine Wine Challenge

96 | Quite a taut style. I love the intensity of the fruit. Gorgeous concentrated treated redcurrants. I love how the now unravels with air. Beautiful flavour depth.

89 | Deep chocolate toasty oak nose, lots of oak. Dark berry and ironstone too. Elegant, not too big; lively acid leans it out.

93 | Not the boldest aroma but nice degree of ripeness. Gentle tannins, bright crisp edge to fruit.

88 | cherried, tart red fruit, firm tannic edge, succulent palate, firm mineral-driven finish, leaves me wanting more complexity and layers to push my score higher...
