Lady May is Glenelly’s flagship estate wine. The 2018 Bordeaux blend pays tribute to the pedigree of its legendary owner, May de Lencquesaing. A blend of the best Bordeaux components from the 2018 vintage. The wine shows concentrated aromas of dark berries, with hints of mocha and cedar wood on the nose. The palate has lovely sweet fruit notes, polished tannins and a long, refined finish.

2023 Global Fine Wine Challenge

98 | So pure and lively. I love the reserve of this wine. The fruit is graceful and concentrated, but the beautiful acid line gives freshness. Classically proportioned. Medium bodied and gorgeous.

95 | VG deep concentrated purpley colour, quite oaky nose, big sweet cassis cabernet fruit flavour, youthfully bright and fresh for its age, A very solid, vibrant 2018 cabernet that still has a long way to go. Masses of tannin. Remarkable wine.

90 | firm, tight, red-fruited and dusty, rocky, bright acidity and fresh mineral-laced finish tight tannic edge, needs food

93 | Appealing red fruited aroma. Silky, dusty tannins. lovely developing gentle characters emerging but pulls up a little short
