Sourced from our old vine Barossa vineyard, these ancient, gnarled vines are not only surviving but thriving on their own roots in some of the oldest soils on the planet. 

In March we hand harvested whole bunches of flavour ripe Merlot to be gently crushed and naturally fermented in open fermenters for eight days, hand plunged twice a day, before careful basket pressing into older French Oak Barriques to finish fermentation.

2023 Global Fine Wine Challenge

90 | Aromatic red and blue fruits with a meaty undertone. There is a metallic edge to the palate. Drying.

85 | Fumy, vanilla chocolate, oaky and drying out. Rasping tannin dryness.

90 | fleshy, ripe red plum skin dark cherry, softly dusty but balanced. good finish, enjoy with food

95 | An exotic nose; star anise, liquorice, chinese spice. Blackberry and cherry. Sweetly fruited with soft silky tannins. A powerful, plump style but done well.
