Capensis is a family of three wines dedicated exclusively to  Chardonnay. The name Capensis is taken from the Latin word  meaning, “from the Cape,” and pays homage to its home in the  Western Cape of South Africa, one of the oldest winemaking  regions in the world. Ancient geology and dramatic landscape  form the foundation for Capensis, which celebrates the diverse  and remarkable winegrowing potential of the Western Cape.

2023 Global Fine Wine Challenge

93 | I love the length and flow of the palate. Faint cheesy notes on the nose. Great flavour.

90 | Weetbix, very savoiry and drying. Good intensity and line though.

92 | PB, nutty cereal grain, fresh spicy broad-shouldered weighted fresh and cracked open expression, oak and a kiss of butter undertones, nicely and smartly made.

91 | Not particularly fruit driven but layers of texture. An unusual wine; bold to begin but then acidity kicks in to carry palate.
