With over forty years of food and wine experience, Doug established Margerum Wine Company focusing on Rhône varietals and Sauvignon Blanc solely from Santa Barbara County with the philosophy of returning winemaking to its previous form of production – handcrafted and indicative of the place where they are grown. We make wines naturally that have great typicity and personality. The scale of production is kept at a level where we can touch and know the wine as it is raised to the bottle, which is the antithesis of mass production. The standards of quality are measured by our criteria and not by external sources.
