Kirilly grew up in the Macedon Ranges. Whilst studying Agricultural Science at the University of Melbourne, a work experience job with the inspirational Bill Dhillon led to falling for the growing of grapes and making of wine. A number of years later in 2016 with two amazing young boys and a second degree in Wine Science from Charles Sturt University, Bowerbird Wines was born. With a desire to create a small collection of well-made wines driven by intuition and feel as much as science. Bowerbirds collect things that they find beautiful or curious to share with others. I hope that the wines I create and collect can bring people and friends together and give pleasure in the sharing.
