Fruit sourced from the 1969 planted No.1 Cabernet Sauvignon, exclusively from the south west corner following a gravel band that crossed through the corner of the block. Blackcurrants, graphite, bay leaf, energy, purity, precision, youthful yet with fruit volume.

Blackcurrant and ribena aromas with flinty notes. Fresh ripe dark berry fruits, fine cedary tannins and fresh long acidity, Crunchy and firm at the finish.

Very lifted ripe cassis, mulberry aromas. Medium bodied, savoury, hint of chocolatey oak. Good freshness.

Aromatic mulberry fruit. The palate is a little shrill and lacks density. Fineboned.
