Gewürztraminer was among the first varieties planted at Stonecroft and this wine includes fruit from our oldest Gewürztraminer vines. It is a rich wine, with fantastic aromatics and a weighty texture. The bouquet is full of tropical fruit, particularly lychee. The grapes are hand picked from our Roy’s Hill Vineyard. These vines are now very low yielding. Cellar 10 years plus. Medium dry.

Stewed pears and lemon curd aromas. The palate is filled with glacé fruits and a touch of grapefruit. A touch of quinine on the close. Warming alcohol.

Minerally spice aromas with ginger flinty notes. Supple sweet fruited wine with alcohol too strong for the fruit

Opens with a medley of tinned lychee and tinned apricot. Sweet with intense Turkish Delight notes, lingering finish. Not quite enough acidity to balance the sweetness. Finishes a touch warm.
