This is like dessert-in-a-glass, boasting aromas of lemon meringue and key lime pies laced with the nectar of canned mandarin oranges, followed by more exotic subtleties of mango and lychee. These sweet aromas are delicately balanced with nuances of chamomile, fresh orchard blossoms and even spearmint. The palate is packed with citrusy freshness, abound with flavours of tangerine, meyer lemon, lime cordial and bergamot with hints of mango, pink grapefruit pith and almost tonic-like botanical teas. The finish is light but lingering. This is a great wine to pair with intensely flavoured dishes, spicy and well-seasoned (Spanish foods and fatty dishes), like a nice seafood paella! It is a great match for lighter dishes seasoned with lots of herbs, like a tabbouleh salad. The residual sweetness balances salty rich foods with ease (old aged cheddars and gorgonzolas) and also compliments many desserts, so whether your dessert is a cheese platter or a light cheesecake, this wine can do it all.
