Sub-Region: Cromwell Basin Colour: Bright, luminescent sun-bleached straw Style: Off-dry Flavour Profile: Our 2021 ‘Single Vineyard’ Riesling delights with noteworthy aromatics of lemon, tangerine rind and white floral fragrances. Finer noses will also detect a faint Crème Brûlée like hint of burned sugar. The palate easily interprets and reveals the uncovered aromas and adds a whiff of warm frangipani. The wine’s texture is elegant with gentle puckering acidity and has a soft salivating persistent finish. Hawkshead always aims to show off the Riesling grape variety at its very best and present a wine of intensity, vitality and tension. Wine Maker: Dean Shaw
