WINEMAKER Dark red with a violet tinge. Robust aromas of cherry tobacco, cigar box and cinnamon spice unravel along with blackberries, prunes, natural flora and subdued aromas of red berries. An elegant, medium- to full-bodied and well-balanced wine with lingering juicy, ripe, dark berries and a sweet red cherry aftertaste. The fruit-forward palate is met with baking spices, reminiscent of Christmas fruit cake. Serve with plainly grilled steak, leg of lamb with rosemary or thyme, roast turkey steak, steak and kidney pie and matured Gouda/Gruyère.

Beautiful blackcurrants, roasted chestnut with a hint of wax polish aromas. Classical claret style with cassis, tobacco leaf, cigar box flavours, fine grainy textures and beautifully integrated vanilla and roasted chestnut notes. Finishes firm and minerally.

  2. 94

Opens with a bouquet of bright cassis with cedary, leafy overtones. Ripe and plush, huge intensity and power, plentiful fine-grained tannins. Good freshness.

  3. 91

Bold and rich. Chocolatey. It has an soft, open-knit texture rather than a dense concentrated core.
