Tightrope Winery is a small, family-run, sustainable winery on the Naramata Bench. A true labour of love for owners Lyndsay (winemaker) and Graham O’Rourke (viticulturist). We make hand-crafted, sustainable wines with artistry and passion that capture the soul of Naramata – the personality, character, culture and fruit of ‘the Bench’. Tightrope is all about balance. From vineyard to glass, there’s balance at every step; between art and science, education and experience, nature and nurture, work and play, husband and wife.

We consider ourselves stewards of the land and take a wholly sustainable approach from grape to glass. We choose this for the good of the wine, the land and those who work it, and the generations to come. We farm three estate vineyards on the Naramata Bench. The Fleet Road Vineyard is our home vineyard, while the other two are near Munson Mountain a few kilometers south of the home property, and are named the Thomas & Marmot Vineyards. As the first Certified Sustainable Winery & Vineyard, we incorporate many sustainable practices including no insecticides nor herbicides in the vineyard, solar power, use of winemaking waste materials to generate compost to fertilize the vineyard, and social responsibility to name a few.
