Best’s Wines was established in 1866 by Henry Best and his first plantings were 1868. These vines are said to be some of the oldest and rarest in the world. Best’s is now run by 5th generation Ben Thomson and the family is still producing wine from these original plantings. The Thomson family purchased Best’s Wine back in 1920, and have had vineyards in the area since 1893.
