The Penny’s Hill ‘Yeenunga’ Grenache is named after the historic Yeenunga Vineyard, situated in the north-eastern hills of McLaren Vale. The fruit for this wine is sourced from less than one hectare of 52-year-old bush-vine Grenache, planted on a horseshoe-shaped contour at the estate’s highest point, 170 metres above sea level, offering stunning views of McLaren Vale and Gulf St Vincent.

92 | Red fruit and herbal nose. Bright and ripe expression. Nice straightforward style. Approachable.

92 | Lighter in depth of colour, bright purple. Fresh, herby cherry and simple fruit aromas. Palate sweet-fruited and light-bodied but backed by some serious tannins. Ripe tannins. Fruit drives it. Smart wine.

92 | Lovely floral, perfumed grenache. Not overly concentrated but a pretty, bright cherry-like wine. A little layer of dusty, ripe tannin.

92 | Fragrant bouquet, hint of strawberry and cherry. Floral overtones. Supple and fresh. Excellent intensity but then falls away slightly towards the finish.
