Selected from some of Hawke’s Bay’s finest Gimblett Gravels vineyards, this small-batch, barrel-fermented Syrah is a full and expressive style. Showing rich black and red fruit character with classic pepper notes and hints of mocha. Underlying savoury notes, fine tannins and a velvety texture offer refinement, power and persistence.

91 | Closed nose with fruit and spice. Ripe and bright core of fruit, some spice, iodine. Is there more to come?

93 | Opens with ripe blackberry and dark chocolate overtones. Juicy and bright on the mid-palate, good freshness with more red berries offset by chalky tannins. Surprising in its structure.

91 | Red-fruited with a little dried herb. Charry, smoky notes. Bright and crisp, moderately intense. The tannins are polished and fine.
