Grapes for this Grenache Noir are sourced from the Piekenierskloof. Unirrigated bush vines are planted in deep sandy soils. Elevated sites have a warm climate with cooling evening winds. In keeping with our minimal intervention winemaking philosophy, 25% of the Grenache is fermented as whole clusters. Spontaneous ferment in open-top fermentation tanks. Maturation takes place in seasoned 500l French oak barrels for approximately 14 months.

95 | Taut and lively with red currant flavours and aromas. I love the lemony thread running through the palate.

95 | Savoury smoky and dark cherry aromas; delicious flavour, sweet ripe supple and succulent. Good tannin spine. Well structured and ageworthy.

94 | Pretty floral raspberry and red cherry aromas. Bright and focussed. Appealing twist of grippy astringency gives interest and prevents palate from becoming solely focussed on fruit.
