The Barkly Durif comes from our 45 year old vines in our estate vineyard. The Barkly Durif is one of our icon wines, created by fourth generation winemaker Colin Campbell, who sought to Thoroughbreed the variety and return balance and elegance to the wine. Deliciously rich with lifted violets, black cherry, cigar, fine tannins and subtle oak. A juicy rib eye steak or slow cooked oxtail pie suits well, Will cellar well for another 5-6 years.

94 | Plummy, fruitcake nose. Port-like sweet dark fruit, touch raisin and spice. Jammy fruit with sweet finish. Balanced and long.

95 | Some rustic red fruits. School ink and liquorice. Sweetly fruited, full-bodied and generous. A massive wine but curiously attractive with toasted coconut/vanilla bean.

90 | Oaky, savoury, earthy aromas, big and powerful, intense and assertive. A pretty classic Durif, with challenging tannins.

94 | Fragrant bouquet, sun-warmed blackberries and black cherry. Rich, full bodied and plush with ample blackberry and supple tannins. Good persistence.
