Rich, creamy, yeasty nose, with finesse and complexity on the aftertaste. A portion of the Chardonnay for this Cap Classique was fermented in used oak barrels for extra complexity. After blending with Pinot Noir, yeast and sugar were added for a secondary fermentation in the bottle, followed by extended lees contact of 5 ½ years.

Bold and toasty. Marine elements on the palate.

Medium straw, fine bead. Opens. with aromas of grilled nuts and toast. Round and fresh with good intensity but falls away towards the finish.

Toasty, marzipan, bruised fruit aromas. Tangy palate with developed fruits, lacy textures and fresh acidity.
