Doolhof lies at the confluence of several expansive mountains. Thanks to sheer gradients, the valley benefits from lower average temperatures that encourages slow ripening. The shape and aspects of the various parts of the estate allow for several distinct micro-climates. Doolhof generally experiences cooler winters and moderate summers. This confluence of viticultural conditions allows the winemaking team to work with an exciting range of top-quality varieties, including Chenin Blanc, Pinotage and Doolhof’s flagship Malbec.
